Japan Visa Update as of September 30, 2022

On September 30, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan released an advisory regarding the ease of travel for tourism purposes.

Japan finally opens to individual leisure travelers after October 11, 2022.

  1. The 68 countries and regions with visa-free access resume visa exemptions.
  2. Philippine passport holders with valid multiple Japan visas may now be used.
  3. Travelers holding a valid APEC Business Travel Card may now be used.
  4. Update on Visa requirement procedure.
