As Rajah Travel continues to spearhead the adaption of innovation and technology trends, its approach is to aid schools, colleges, and universities in producing a stronger workforce for the travel industry. In putting this mission into action, the Travel Academy Remote Practicum (Mentorship) Program (RPP) was launched.
From its inception in 2020 and with over 3,035 students from 74 different colleges and universities, the RPP opened this medium in the fulfillment of the on-the-job training hours of hospitality, travel, and tourism students. Currently, we have 2 terms ongoing for our 1st Semester of SY 2022-2023.
For 2 years, the Travel Academy with the Remote Practicum (Mentorship) Program brought flexibility into the process regarding scheduling, content availability, and structures, which allows the trainees to access the learning material virtually. The elements of e-learning include similar traditional factors such as motivation, content stimulus, opportunities to apply industry practice, and an assessment that comprises quizzes, tests, and demonstrations. With online learning, the engagement of students is also critical to keep them moving toward their goals.
With the “new normal” situation, it will not be a hindrance as Rajah refuses to rest on its laurels and will always reinvent ways in achieving its goals.
