Arrive at Zurich airport at around 1:20 pm and transfer to your Hotel in Alsace. At around 5:00 pm check-in and then join everyone for a welcome drink and an introduction about your trip. Enjoy a nice dinner in a traditional restaurant.
After breakfast, depart to Orschwiller for a guided tour of the famous “Haut-Koenigsbourg” castle. Continue to Bergheim for the nativity scene exhibition. After lunch in a typical winstub, go to Ribeauvillé (or Kayserberg) to experience its Medieval Christmas Market and a guided walking tour in the old medieval town. Proceed to Kaysersberg, for a guided walking tour of this medieval city voted as “France’s favorite village in 2017”. Also, have your free time on their Christmas Market before departing to Colmar, the capital for Alsatian wines. Have guided walking tour in this old town to discover the Little Venice, the half-timbered houses, the covered market, and St. Martin’s Church. You are then free to roam around in the 5 Christmas Markets in Colmar.
After breakfast, depart to Obernai, for a guided walking tour in their medieval town and free time on their Christmas Market to experience a Christmas is synonymous with gastronomy and gourmet food. Their Christmas Market focuses on authenticity and conviviality! In the afternoon, return to Strasbourg for a guided walking tour and to enter the magnificent Cathedral. Also, discover Petite France, a quarter of Strasbourg city where fishermen, millers, and tanners once lived and worked (the Tanner’s House, the Kammerzell House). Wander in your free time to discover why Strasbourg is the capital of Christmas and be captivated by its unique atmosphere. In the heart of Place Kléber, find the Great Christmas Tree which is an essential symbol of Strasbourg. Local craftsmen await offering 100% Alsace-made products on their stalls, these producers can share with you their taste on simple things and give you the opportunity to discover their know-how. To finish the day you’ll enjoy a delightful dinner in a typical winstub restaurant.
After breakfast, visit Mont Sainte-Odile, a 760-meter-high peak in the Vosges Mountains, convent and center of
pilgrimage dedicated to Sainte-Odile that was built around the end of the 7th century. Continue to Ostheim where you will meet Joëlle, our hostess, to share a moment of conviviality. Joëlle will teach you how to prepare some Christmas specialties such as Bredeles or Männele. Follow the chef’s demonstration and of course, enjoy the food tasting and a typical lunch on the site. After this great moment, we will continue on the wine route to Riquewihr, the "Gem of the Alsace vineyards" and a city listed among the most beautiful villages in France. Go to the open-air museum surrounded by a double medieval rampart. Enjoy free time on the Christmas market before a cellar visit and wine tasting in a local Wine Estate. On the way back to the hotel, stop for your dinner. “Flammekueche”, a dish with a dough base topped with a mixture of cream, soft white cheese, bacon chunks, and onions will be served. You can eat it with your fingers fresh from the baker’s oven. You can also try the sweet versions of this which usually comes with apple, plum and cinnamon toppings.
Private transfer to the historical sparkling wine province, Champagne, located between the Alsace region and Paris. On the way to the City of Reims, stop for a fascinating visit of the Lehrer Crystal Glassworks where you'll witness a family tradition in the art of cutting crystals carried for more than 25 years. Be presented with an incredible choice of unique pieces of art and gain interesting insights on manufacturing these objects by watching the craftsman transform a solid piece of glass into incredible ornaments for Christmas decorations and ideal souvenirs. After a local lunch in the area, continue your way to Reims. Arrive and check-in, and then have your dinner at around 7:00 pm. Spend a night as you wish.
Walk at the city center of Reims and visit the Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where French kings were coronated during the French Monarchy. Carry on with a fascinating dive into the “crayères”, the sumptuous Champagne cellars, and have a taste of their products they take pride of. Travel to the south of Reims and arrive in the area of Hautvillers village, the cradle of Champagne, for an original Champagne and food pairing. After lunch, take a short walk in the village of Dom Pérignon, the “Father of Champagne” and then proceed to your wine journey in the "Champagne Alley” in Epernay which is registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Drink champagne on the hillsides of the Aÿ’s vineyard, also a known UNESCO world heritage site. To cap off this day's journey, proceed to the illuminated Christmas market in front of the Reims Cathedral
After your breakfast, transfer to Paris and check in your 4* Hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon to discover the city of Light. Walk long the outstanding Jardin des Tuileries and immerse yourself in the treasures hidden under the amazing pyramid of the Louvre Museum. Stroll through the streets of Quartier Saint-Germain and its cozy “cafés” and “brasseries”. Go from Avenue Montaigne to Champs-Elysées and go through no less than 180 wooden chalets, from french gastronomy to arts and crafts, for a unique shopping run. Whether you explore historic districts or architecture, gastronomic restaurants or museums, one thing is certain: the City of Light is a captivating one.
Start relaxed. Check-out in the morning around 11:30 am meeting with your guide and departure for a memorable lunch to the Eiffel Tower restaurant, "The 58", with exceptional views over Paris or to the legendary Brasserie, "La Coupole" in Montparnasse. In the afternoon, free time along the Tour Eiffel area, exploring The Trocadero and The Parc du Champs-de-Mars or ascent up to the Montparnasse Tower Panoramic Observation Deck for a breathtaking 360° panoramic view 210 meters above the ground. After, enjoy a panoramic city tour of the French Capital for the discovery of its iconic sites (Notre-Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, Opéra Garnier, Les Invalides). Around 5 pm, transfer to the airport of Paris Charles de Gaulle for your flight back to the Philippines.
