DAY 1     Manila (L, D)

Your first World War II tour begins in the capital, where you'll explore significant landmarks with a local expert. Afterward, we'll have a special welcome reception at the Manila Hotel, which holds its own bittersweet wartime memories. Overnight accommodation will be provided.    

DAY 2     Manila to Puerto Princesa (B , L , D)

We depart for NAIA airport to catch our morning flight to Puerto Princesa, our gateway to uncovering lost pieces of history and rediscovering the stories of heroism and sacrifice of Filipino and American soldiers. A guided Palawan Liberation circuit tour will provide an introduction to what to expect, featuring significant wartime and historical landmarks. After the tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

It's a tour of war and love, but we won't overlook the delectable dishes of Palawan for the evening. Overnight accommodation will be provided.

DAY 3     Puerto Princesa (B , L , D)

We start our day early for our important participation in the Palawan Liberation Commemoration and Ceremony. Join the local parade from Higinio Mendoza Park, an important WWII landmark, to Plaza Cuartel, the site where more than 100 American prisoners of war (POW) were massacred by Japanese forces.

Experience a military honor as local officials conduct a wreath-laying ceremony and the 21-gun salute by the Armed Forces.

We are saving a seat for you as we continue our commemoration through a program at our chosen hotel venue. Filipino and American soldiers will be given tribute, and their families will receive the 'Medal of Valor'.

The day is not over as we catch up with the locals who bring with them never-ending stories  of war at a gala dinner at our hotel.

DAY 4     Puerto Princesa to Manila (B)

As you keep a memory of this tour in your heart, you have the option to head back to a flight to Manila or continue on your journey to some of the islands Palawan has to offer.
