Starting April 29, 2023, all travelers to Japan are no longer required to submit either a certificate of negative result of COVID-19 test prior to departure, or a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
However, those entering Japan with symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infection will be tested upon arrival. Furthermore, those who test positive will be required to quarantine at a designated facility.
