The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) announced on January 28, 2022 that the Philippines lifts the ban for inbound travelers.

The latest IATF Resolution No. 159 also states the temporary suspension of COVID-19 "green", "yellow" and "red" risk classification for countries to the advantage of all fully vaccinated travelers.

In connection with this, facility-based quarantine will no longer be required:

  • Effective on February 1 - for returning Filipinos
  • Effective on February 10 - for foreigners from all visa-free countries

Only proof of COVID-19 vaccination shall be presented upon arrival:

  1. World Health Organization International Certificates of Vaccination and Prophylaxis
  2. VaxCertPH
  3. National/state digital certificate of the foreign government which has accepted VaxCertPH under a reciprocal arrangement unless otherwise permitted by the IATF
  4. A negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure from the country of origin

Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or individuals whose vaccination status cannot be independently validated will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test that is taken within 48 hours prior to departure from their country of origin.

They will still be required to undergo the facility-based quarantine that ends on the release of their negative RT-PCR test taken on fifth day of quarantine and continue a home quarantine until 14th day after their arrival.

Children below 12 years old who cannot be vaccinated will follow quarantine protocols of parents or accompanying guardian traveling with them.
