Day 1  Welcome to Bangkok

Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport, you will be greeted by our local partner at the airport and will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Check-in. You are free at leisure to explore the city. See the "Optionals" tab for available afternoon tours, night shows, and dinner.

Take your breakfast, meet your English tour guide in the hotel lobby at 0800H. Visit the Wat Bovorniwet Vihara, a major Buddhist temple in Bangkok. The temple is a center of the Thammayut Nikaya school of Thai Theravada Buddhism and has been a major temple of patronage for the Chakri dynasty. It is the shrine-hall of Phra Phutthachinasi which was built in about 1357. It is where many royal princes studied and served their monkhood, including king Bhumibol. Thereafter tourist van passes through Grand Palace/ The Giant Swing and Democracy Monument. Another stop to visit at Wat Saket. It is best known for The Golden Mount, a man-made hill with a golden chedi on the hilltop, The Golden Chedi is where the sacred Buddha's relics are enshrined. When there weren't buildings and skyscrapers, The Golden Mount was the tallest structure in Bangkok to reach the top of the Golden Mount, you must ascend an exhausting 300 steps. The platform on its top level is still a great place to enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Bangkok's old district. Next, van passes through Ananta Samakhom Hall, the marble throne hall equestrian statue of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). The last stop would be at the Gems Gallery and Leather factory. Be dropped off at a shopping mall and be free to roam. Go back to your hotel on own arrangement. (B)

Special Reminders: Please be at the hotel lobby at the time of pickup otherwise the company has the right to declare no-show. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops) If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc.

Rise early and take your breakfast. Choose among our "Optionals". Book half-day or whole day tour programs to save time in going to more remarkable places in Bangkok. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Wake up early for breakfast. You can do some last-minute shopping or if you want, you can roam within the hotel's vicinity depending on your flight schedule.
