Breathe in the soothing aroma and enjoy lavender-infused treats like ice cream and tea. Continue to Furano Cheese Factory, where you can watch the cheese-making process and even try hands-on workshops to craft your own dairy delicacies. Conclude the day at Ningle Terrace, a picturesque collection of cottage-style shops hidden in the woods, offering handcrafted souvenirs and an enchanting atmosphere, especially in the evening when the lights twinkle among the trees.
Travel to the charming coastal town of Otaru, known for its nostalgic European-style architecture and glasswork. Stroll along the scenic Otaru Canal, where vintage warehouses and street lamps create a romantic ambiance. Visit Kitaichi Glass, a renowned glass-making studio, before heading to the Music Box Museum, filled with a mesmerizing collection of handcrafted music boxes. At Tanaka Sake Brewery, learn about Hokkaido’s sake production and enjoy a tasting session. End the day with a breathtaking view from the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway, where Sapporo’s skyline twinkles beneath you.

Next, visit the awe-inspiring Hill of Buddha, an architectural masterpiece by Tadao Ando, featuring a giant seated Buddha partially enclosed by a hill covered in lavender. Feel the serene atmosphere as you walk through the sacred tunnel leading to the statue. In the afternoon, enjoy some retail therapy at Mitsui Outlet Park Kitahiroshima, where you’ll find a mix of international brands, Japanese fashion, and tax-free shopping.
